--- title: Four Seasons in a Day description: People like to talk about weather changes, but Patagonia wins the award for that claim. image: https://blog.campchampions.com/hubfs/View%20from%20Chile%20restaurant%20.jpg --- [Register Online](https://champions.campintouch.com/ui/forms/application/camper/App) [Camp Champions](https://www.campchampions.com/) # Camp Champions Blog # Four Seasons in a Day Posted by [Steve Baskin](https://blog.campchampions.com/author/steve-baskin) on Jan 19, 2017 9:29:40 AM ![Steve Baskin](https://blog.campchampions.com/hs-fs/file-377256139-jpg/Head_Shot_Profile/SteveSir.jpg) Find me on: [LinkedIn](http://www.linkedin.com/pub/steve-baskin/11/a98/107) [Twitter ](https://twitter.com/steve_sir)  ![View from Chile restaurant .jpg](https://blog.campchampions.com/hubfs/View%20from%20Chile%20restaurant%20.jpg) Chile remains beautiful, the internet continues to crawl.  I leave this picture for you (taken from the restaurant of our hotel) with a promise of updates to come.   Before I leave, I will share this.  Everywhere I have ever lived, people say "if you don't like the weather here, just wait a few minutes and it will change."  OK, perhaps that do not say that in San Diego, but virtually everywhere else.   They do not say that here.  Instead, they share a much more ominous and descriptive promise/threat: "Here, you can experience all 4 seasons in a day."   This sounded silly to me until I felt the temperature vary by over 20 degrees three times in a day.  We were rained on one hour and putting on extra suncreeen another.  The wind here is especially impressive.  As we stay in our cabin, we are fairly sure that the Big Bad Wolf is a-huffing and a-puffing and we are living in the house of twigs.  Each of us has been knocked off balance by the breeze.
