In my last blog post (http://blog.campchampions.com/improvements-at-camp), I described some of camp’s biggest physical improvements over the past few years and gave a sneak preview of improvements and additions that are yet to come. We love our location and property here in Marble Falls. One of the best things about camp is all the cool things you can do as a camper – climbing, swimming, ziplining, skiing, horseback riding, and more.

While we already think camp is already a beautiful and fun place to be, we aim to get better year after year. Almost four years ago now, we built the Pirate Ship, a three-story ropes course with scads of cool elements – but we didn’t stop there. We added new elements every year and built the awesome ship front and hull around it. We don’t stop at “cool” or “good enough.” We go for amazing.

An Appreciated Email on the Benefits of Summer Camp
Every now and then, Susie Ma’am and I get an email that simply makes our day, if not our week. Last Friday, we got the email below. After looking it over, I realize that it is better than anything I would come up with on my own. I hope you enjoy it.
Tonight featured yet another once-a-summer event: the Luau. Rather than eat in the Fillin Station (our dining hall) or have a picnic next to the Fillin Station, we fed the entire camp next to the lake. Clothed in grass skirts, leis and fun shirts, we listened to ukulele music and enjoyed a picturesque evening.
We like to hold a few special surprises for the last week of camp so that the counselors are as pleased as the campers.
